About Our Club

Castle Donington Classic Vehicle Club was established in May 2022.

Three local enthusiasts got talking about cars and motorbikes and thought it would be good for the village to host a meeting of like-minded enthusiasts, so the scene was set.

Castle Donington Parish Council came on board and allowed us to use the Castle Donington Community Hub Car Park, opening the excellent Café to support our meet.

The events are held monthly on the second Saturday Morning of every month.

From the first event it became apparent that there was a local need for such meetings and word got around – maybe the offer of free tea and coffee helped!

Any vehicle is welcome, and the club define classic as ‘interesting’ and have had some quite diverse attendees including a tank, a Sinclair S5, a regular beautiful 1920’s Rolls to name but a very few. We attract numerous motorcycles ranging from 1940’s though to modern day and a regular visitor is retired professional racer John Cooper. See our gallery for pictures of the wide range of vehicles that have attended.

Local charities are acknowledged and supported by raising funds through events and the club is involved in the local May Day & Christmas celebrations every year.

2025 sees us organising a number of Friday evening summer BBQ’s and for the first time a closed road display on Borough Street on the Sunday of the Kings Birthday Weekend.

The club have been recognised by the District Council as not only holding a social meet but also supporting Men’s Mental Health by bringing together people and fostering the opportunity for connecting individuals with common interests to help deal with often overlooked issues.

Please see our events page for forth coming meetings and please use the booking form for attendance to the Kings Birthday Vehicle Extravaganza in June.
